Scotland.  A land of beauty.  A land of history.  A land filled with castles and cathedrals, metropolitan cities and quaint villages.  A land that has given us men such as David Livingston, Eric Liddell, John Knox, William Guthrie, Andrew & Horatius Bonar, Andrew Melville, and so many other great scholars and teachers of the Bible.  As few as 150 years ago, Scotland was known as a land that faithfully sent Christian missionaries to all parts of the known world, proclaiming the Gospel message of Jesus.

Today, less than 3% of the population of Scotland would claim any formal affiliation with a Christ centered Church, and less than 1% of the people are actual committed followers of Christ.

How did this country fall so far, so fast?

Scotland Rising is a non-denominational Christian mission organization that is committed to seeing the Gospel message of Jesus restored to the hearts of this amazing country through missional engagement, targeted evangelism efforts, relevant Biblical teaching and preaching, and practical lifestyles of discipleship.

We believe that people’s lives can be radically changed, their eternal destiny can be altered, and they can find hope and purpose through the amazing message of love and grace that comes only through Jesus.

We believe that breaking marriages and wounded families can be restored as people seek to honor Christ above self.

We believe that addictions can be broken and lives can be healed as people discover their identity in Christ rather than in the world.

We believe that church buildings, which are now empty and abandoned, can once again be filled to overflowing as the message of Jesus is proclaimed boldly through the lives of ordinary people.

And we believe that Scotland can once again be a country that sends Christian missionaries to all corners of the globe.
