img_20151018_185658415Since 2017, Sam and Brittan Burton have live in the small fishing village of Buckie, Scotland, located on the Moray Firth coast.

Sam is the senior pastor for the Buckie Church of Christ, a non-denominational Christian church. Sam served as the pastor for the Buckie Church of Christ from 1980-1987.  He then spent six years as a church planter and pastor in the greater Glasgow area before returning to the States in 1991.  Since that time, Sam has served as senior pastor, church planter, teacher, and lay leader in several churches across the United States; as well as the executive level in corporate America.

Brittan eagerly serves alongside Sam in many areas of the ministry, and shares Sam’s deep love and commitment for the people of northern Scotland.  She is actively involved in teaching and hosting ladies Bible studies, ministry events, and facilitates creative and technology sides of worship services and evangelism events.

“We know that God has a plan for Moray.  A plan of restoration, and hope.  We are excited that God is allowing us to be a small part of it.  We love the people, the culture, and the area.”

The Burton’s ministry plan is a simple one: to relentlessly pursue those far from God with the hope and love of Jesus Christ.  They want to accomplish that mission through targeted evangelism events, community transformation projects, and establishing a culture of active discipleship and multiplication.
