** Registration for our 2020 Summer Serve Trip is now OPEN!! **
We encourage every one of our partners and supporters to come to Scotland on an engagement trip and see exactly what our ministry is all about. Serve trips are geared for maximum engagement between you, our church, and the community. We strive to achieve a balance of culturally appropriate evangelism work, service projects, and community engagement opportunities while providing a wee taste of life and culture found on the northeast coast of Scotland. You will also have ample opportunity to experience some iconic Scottish touring by visiting Urchart Castle ruins on Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield, Brodie castle and country faire, Pluscarden Abbey, Elgin Cathederal, the Biblical Gardens, Johnstons Woolen Mill, Glen Moray Distillery, Binn Hill, Spey Bay, Gordon Castle & Walled Gardens, and more. Space for each trip is limited to a maximum of 8 – 12 people, depending on the trip emphasis (minimum unattended travel age at this time is 18), and a $200 (per person) non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot on a trip, and your deposit will be put toward the total cost.
The cost of the trip will include:
- round trip airfare from Atlanta, Georgia (ATL Hartsfield-Jackson airport) to northern Scotland
- transportation, accommodation, and most meals while in Scotland
- admission fees to scheduled touring destinations
What you will need to provide in addition to the trip fees:
- valid passport book
- funds for souvenirs or other shopping/dining you choose to do
- transportation to and from the Atlanta, Georgia (ATL Hartsfield-Jackson) airport
While our trip dates for each year are fixed, the itinerary for each trip is somewhat flexible and dependent upon several factors, including weather conditions, transportation and space availability, project materials needed, time required, etc. Each trip will contain a community service project, community outreach project, church work project, weekly worship, Bible study and prayer services, and of course some amazing Scottish tourism and dining. For more details on a specific trip, or to inquire about other short-term or long-term serving opportunities in Scotland please contact us and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
We know that you’re going to fall in love with the people and culture in the northeast of Scotland, and we can’t wait to serve the Kingdom alongside you this summer!
